Miti-Gate®R Manual ‘Crash Tested’ Barrier CSG10940

This is the WORLDS FIRST Vehicle Security Barrier (VSB) independently tested to IWA14-1:2013, CPNI's Vehicle Attack Delay Standards (VADS), and PAS68:2010, ensuring the most comprehensive protection against small, medium and large vehicle threats.

The Miti-Gate®R is our latest 'semi-permanent' manual swing barrier, borne from the highly successful Miti-Gate® introduced by Cova Security Gates in 2012. It has been Redesigned and Redeveloped to take account of new and emerging vehicle threats.

Having successfully completed 4 unique impact tests, the Miti-Gate®R is the only manual swing barrier tested to TRULY 'mitigate' all recognised vehicle threats.

Sizing
Miti-Gate®R is available up to 8 meter clear opening, utilising a single leaf, sited between 2 of our Crash Tested Shallow Depth Bollards, this a cost-effective, simple, 4 x crash-rated manual barrier for maximum protection.

More essential reading and information on VADS can be found on the CPNI website:

Patented arrestor system
The Miti-Gate®R holds our patented arrestor system, housed within an aluminium/steel leaf, designed to be mounted between Cova Security Gates static crash rated shallow depth bollards, secured with a hinge, and locking pin.

Advertising space
Finished to your choice of RAL colour, and up to 8m in length, this large flat surface is the perfect advertising space for branding or custom print them with your specific message. With use of graphics this gate can also be finished to blend with the installed environment. All it needs is your imagination!

Already have our original Miti-Gate installed?
Don't worry we have thought of you too! Our 'new' Miti-Gate®R leaf is designed to easily replace the original Miti-Gate® leaf, leaving the original bollards in situ. Why develop a swing gate to mitigate small, medium and large vehicle attacks?
Around the world we are seeing a change in hostile events, where the weapon used to stage an attack are smaller and easier to access such as light and medium vehicles. These are specifically used to inflict harm on innocent people gathering in open and public spaces, highlighting the need for increased protection against all and every vehicle threat.

Traditionally Cova Security Gates have led the way in developing perimeter security solutions designed and tested to stop high mass, high-speed vehicle attacks. Today we are also concerning ourselves with protecting people and places against a range of attack methods using smaller vehicles. Importantly the design philosophy used to deal with higher velocity high mass attacks are not always suitable for a 4x4 or a small car, as such we have spent considerable time and energy ensuring one gate is effective in stopping multiple vehicle types.

Purposely designed as a low maintenance solution, suitable for locations with no access to electrical power yet require complete protection from a range of vehicle-borne threats.
Ideal for high streets, town centres, airports, markets and sports stadiums where the solution needs to be permanent or semi-permanent.

YOUR Duty to Protect People and Places
As of 15th November 2021 the UK National terrorism threat level has been raised from substantial to SEVERE – meaning an attack is highly likely.

With the proposed The Protect Duty placing greater emphasis on duty holders to 'mitigate' threats to their event, and with recent relaxing of Covid-19 restrictions opening the doors to events such as Christmas markets, sport or concerts, NOW is the time to review your security needs.
